  • Which leather is used for your wallet?
    We use high-quality leather from European suppliers, mainly from Italy, Germany, France and the Scandinavian countries, which ensure a high standard of working conditions and a regulated production process.
  • Can I pick up locally?
    Yes. Our workshop is in Berlin. So if you are in Berlin or the surrounding states/cities and would like to pick up in person, you can do so. Please note that collection is only possible after prior registration/appointment with our KATAAB team.
  • How will my order be shipped?
    Your order will be shipped with DHL or Deutsche Post. This depends on the original of the leather products you buy. Most are shipped with DHL. Only flat products such as pencil cases can be sent with Deutsche Post. All shipments are provided with a tracking number and insured. If something is lost, we will cover it.
  • Inquiries about custom-made products
    **Q: Can I request a custom order with specific changes?** A: Yes, we accept custom orders with specific changes. If you want small changes like color, button, strap or other minor customization, please provide detailed descriptions. **Q: What if I want a completely new pattern or design?** A: For completely new designs, we accept one-off orders if you are willing to cover the preparation cost of €50 per hour for sample making. Small batch production for new designs will be considered but cannot be guaranteed. Please provide a detailed description and, if necessary, pictures or sketches to illustrate your request. **Q: How do I specify the details of my custom order?** A: Provide a detailed description of the customization you require, including specific dimensions, materials, colors, and additional features. If applicable, include pictures or sketches to illustrate your request. **Q: Can I have my item personalized with an engraving or monogram?** A: Yes, we offer engraving and monograms. Specify the exact text or design, placement and preferred font. For handwritten engravings, please send a clear, high-resolution image of the text written on white paper with a black pen. **Q: How long will it take to complete my custom order and how much will it cost?** A: Custom orders may take longer depending on the complexity of the request. We will give you a cost estimate once we have all the details of your request, including any additional costs for customization. We will also give you an estimated completion time. **Q: What is the process for approving and paying for custom orders?** A: After we receive your detailed request, we will review it and send you a confirmation along with the cost and estimated completion time. Once you approve the details and cost, we will send you a payment link. Production will start once the payment is received. **Q: How can I make sure my shipping address is correct?** A: Please double check your shipping address before completing your order. If the address provided is incorrect, you will be responsible for additional shipping fees to resend the item. **Q: What is your policy for returns and exchanges on custom made items?** A: Custom orders are personalized and therefore non-returnable and non-refundable unless there is a defect in the workmanship or materials used. If you have any problems with your custom order, please contact us within 14 days of receipt and we will do our best to resolve the issue.
  • Kann ich einen Umtausch beantragen?

  • Do you offer customization of my own product?
    No. We only offer personalization when you purchase our selected products. Not all products can be personalized.
  • Is your product sustainable?
    We chose leather as the premium material for our collection. The leather hides come from European tanneries that have a long production history.
  • When can I expect to receive my order?
    The processing time is approx. 2-3 working days. Delivery within Germany takes place within 3-5 working days after the package has been dispatched. To EU countries the delivery time is between 7-14 working days. 10. Do you also deliver to EU countries?

  • What is your return policy?
    You can inform us in advance about your wishes to return the goods 14 days after your delivery. For further details, please see our General Terms and Conditions/Imprint.
  • Do you deliver worldwide?
    No. At the moment shipping is only possible within Germany and to EU countries. We may expand shipping to North America in the future.
  • Who are KATAAB?
    Wir sind eine kleine Lederwerkstatt mit Sitz in Berlin. Wir verkaufen unsere Produkte direkt an Endkunden über unseren Online-Shop www.kataab.de. Während der Pandemie haben wir unsere Kunsthandwerksausstellungen gestoppt, erwarten aber, dass wir sie wieder aufnehmen, sobald die Möglichkeit dazu wieder besteht.
  • Do you also sell leather hides?
    Leider verkaufen wir keine Lederhäute und bieten sie auch nicht zum Verkauf an. Wir haben nur eine kleine Auswahl an Lederhäuten, die nur für unsere eigene Kollektion bestimmt sind.   • Is your product fair?
    We are a handmade and local leather workshop based in Berlin. We consist of a small team of craftsmen, mainly made up of family members and friends. Most of our products are designed, processed and manufactured in our own workshop. The leather hides we use are high quality European leather hides (mainly Italian and German leather hides, but also some other European hides). We source our leather hides and materials locally as much as possible to reduce CO2 emissions.
  • What do I require for a custom order?
    At the moment we only offer personalization. Custom-made products are not possible at the moment.
  • Do you also deliver to EU countries?
    Yes. We deliver to EU countries.
  • Can I personalize my wallet?
    Most of our leather products, from wallets to small items such as pen cases, can be personalized with your desired text by engraving or embossing. This depends on the design and text of your wishes. If you have any doubts, do not hesitate to write to us and we will get back to you as soon as possible.
  • Do you have a store we can visit in person?
    No, unfortunately not. We are a purely online shop with a workshop in Berlin. If you are in Berlin or the surrounding area and would like to take a look at the product directly, make an appointment with us so that we can arrange an appointment for you.
  • What kind of leather goods do you offer?
    We specialize in small leather goods such as minimalist leather wallets, card holders, slim purses or wallets, pen cases, luggage tags, passport holders, small crossbody bags, shoulder bags, backpacks, key chains, key organizers, car key cases and other stationery items. As a small team and leather workshop, we try to specialize in our area and will release and develop new leather goods step by step. It is a unique design and is handcrafted with care in Germany. Either you find our handmade leather goods for yourself or a friend or your partner, friends, family, father or mother.
  • Do you offer a repair service?
    No, we do not offer a repair service or a similar service. However, if you purchase our products and have problems after using them, please contact us for possible repair service. We only offer this service for the products we sell.
